Granting a loan is prohibited if it leads to over-indebtedness (Art. 3 of the Swiss Federal Act against Unfair Competition (UWG)). Sample calculation: a loan of CHF 10'000.– | an effective annual interest rate between 4.9% and 9.95% results in total interest costs between CHF 262 and CHF 523 over a 12-month term.
